We go waaaaaay back, De Grote Bosatlas and I. I leafed through my elder sister's copy years before I went to secondary school and finally got my own. Much later, I owned a newer edition which I used to look up the correct spelling of place, river and country names for editing jobs. By now, its sixty-fifth edition is published. It's not just a book anymore but it has countless digital options too. And I got to make my own contribution to it, a modest but important one. Noordhoff asked me to check the texts and maps in the atlas on its use of inclusive language and image use. This classic is really moving with the times!
