Books in the mail

Books in the mail will always be the best mail! And that is only helped by the fact that a lot of this mail has been designed by Jelle F. Post recently. So the content that was right on the mark anyway, because of Iris Brans, Lonneke Snel, Elmar Teegelbeckers en Petra de Hamer, comes beautifully packaged as well. Below are two more volumes from the new Why Should I Go To series (mo'media) and a hiking guide by Uitgeverij FJORD with text and images that will get even the most reluctant people moving. All edited by me, which is why the postman handed them to me. What more could one want?

Glimpse

How nice! Zwijsen's website shows previews of some of the books for the series that was made alongside reading programme 'Veilig leren lezen'. I edited four of the books that are on view. The first few pages are shown, which give you an initial feel. This always is a lovely moment – you don't have the books in your hands just yet, but they are becoming real.

Why Should I Go To?

In Scheltema's shop window: the beautiful covers of this fresh new series of English-language travel guides by mo'media. Inside the covers, more of these beautiful illustrations by Jelle F. Post, photos, and of course texts edited by me. The Why Should I Go To series focuses on 'cities you definitely need to visit before you turn 30', but as a thirty-something with twenty years of extra life experience, I am also very happy with overviews of vegetarian and vegan restaurants, bookshops, and art supplies.
